I-X Piston Power Show buys Cleveland Auto-Rama

(Cleveland, OH) The organizers of Cleveland AUTO-RAMA have agreed to sell the 46-year-old sanctioned custom car show to the I-X Center.  This will enable the I-X Center to create a combined mega production melding AUTO-RAMA with the I-X Piston Power Show, thereby featuring the best both shows have to offer.  However, the I-X Piston Power Show was slated for October 5-7 this year and will now be cancelled to make way for the new event tentatively scheduled for March 15-17, 2013.

“This is a unique opportunity to bring together two great shows celebrating motor and vehicle enthusiasts,” said Brad Gentille, executive vice president & general manager of the I-X Center. “Cleveland AUTO-RAMA has been an integral part of our show line-up for many years with a devoted core audience. We believe that by incorporating the I-X Piston Power Show, which has grown significantly in just two years, attendees, sponsors and participants will benefit from an entirely brand new experience with a dynamic expanded show floor.  The event will feature the best components from both shows with a vast array of classic cars, vintage airplanes, boats and custom motorcycles.”

Bright Taillights from Lobeck's

Our '55 Chevy sedan delivery has always utilized the standard 1157 tail light bulb.   And since I don't have stock tail lights, but instead use full Buick lens which decrease the candle power, I've always had people say they can't see my brake lights in the day time.

Well thanks to the new Quartz Halogen bulbs, my delivery has a new look or should I say a Bright Future, thanks to calling Ginny Lobeck at Lobeck's V8 Shop, which is open and selling parts, by the way.

I must admit, that I've tried numerious LED bulbs that promised to cure my "un-bright" lens problems, but they weren't any better than the stock 1157 ones.

The call it "The World Famous Midway Bar & Grill Cruise" and after lots of invites over the year...we were finally able to visit and confirm if it really was... "World Famous!"

"Just follow the traffic and when it slows to a crawl, you'll know you're there" said one cruiser we met at a gas station on I-376 near Beaver, Pa. who we followed for the rest of the trip!
