X-treme Fun at X-Treme Xmas Party
What started life as an impromptu quick get-together turned into a great Christmas Open House & Cruisin' Times Magazine X-mas Party, as folks from all over the area stopped by on their way to and from Christmas shopping. "It was one of those great open houses!" said Steve Ali who owned X-Treme Performance North Ridgeville, "it seemed like every 15 minutes more people kept coming in and then all of a sudden it was 3pm!".

Time flys when you've havin' fun.... especially when it's mixed with good food, good people and some of the finest Christmas music I've ever heard courtesy of Bob Doering and Tall Order DJ service, who grabbed the balcony which overlooked the entire party for his make-shift DJ Studio.
Coffee and bagels were served along with lots of specially prepared cookies, fudge and assorted bakery. Special thanks go to Lightning Jim who brought some of the best (home cooked by his-self) Chocolate Mint Brownies!

Then around Noon or so, the pizza arrived from Geppetto's for the second round of vittles - while people just munched and milled around talking with friends they haven't seen in months.

Cleveland custom painter Bobby Nolan (blue shirt) who during the 60's and 70's, painted just about every funny car and or race car team known to man, came up from Florida for the party and talks with American Racing Wheels representative, Jim Gladish, about the good 'ol days!

Even two members of ZZ-Top (Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, who many people think they're brothers, but they're not), stopped by the party for quick fix on Billy's 'Vette after their "reunion tour" concert in Buffalo the night before - and was headed for their annual Detroit Christmas at the "Top" concert.

TV's Handy Randy (with the Santa hat) made the trip from the Akron area along with Studebaker affectionado Don Morgan. I tried keeping tabs on all the clubs that made an appearance thru-out the day: some included the Rock N Roll Capital Street Machines, the American Cruisers, the Hollywood Knights, the Runners and a bunch of Corvette clubs just too numerous to mention.

Extreme Performance owners Steve Ali (with less hair than me) and his wife Tina (standing to his left) talking about the recent "2 in a row" Cleveland Browns wins!

Probably the most talked about item at X-Treme Performance was the Wheel Alignment center. (see picture)... this device which is totally sunk into the ground providing an even surface to drive your car across, especially really low cars, then the scizzors action lift brings the car up which is then hooked to a computer for alignment of both the front and rear wheels! Really impressive.
Thanks to all who came out for the Cruisin' Times X-Treme Christmas Party... here's hoping your the Holiday's bring you warmth, good friends, a prosperous New Year and something automotive for the garage!
